What I'm Due in '22

First off: happy new year, assuming your measure your annual solar circumnavigational demarcations the same as me. Hope the next trip 'round isn't quite as nutso as this one was.

Now, on to some creative news at Chez Infinimata:

Second: On-paper edits for Unmortal, which are still ongoing, have yielded up quite a few changes. I still expect to have the whole thing out of the oven come January's end, though. But enough turned up just in the first couple of pages that I'll need to take a couple of days to write some new material here and there. It's all for the good, trust me.

Third: Shunga-Satori is fast looking like the next project on the docket. I hope not to spend more than the year on this one if I can, although I have some real-life events coming along in the year that might slow me down. It'll be another major left turn for me creatively — well, every book I embark on is like that, but this one far more than most. More than that, in the words of The Prisoner, would be telling.

Fourth: All through the year I hinted at a slew of future projects in the offing aside from ShuSa: Charisma, Cosmotika, Absolute Elsewhere, Nâga. Now joining them is a project called The Organs Of Memory, something that could be filed under the label "meatpunk", but a better pitch would go something like: Sorayama + Giger + Cronenberg + Osamu Tezuka.

I have no guaranteed order for when any of this material will show up. All I can guarantee is my sustained interest in each of them and my devotion to their eventual completion.

More a little later.
